ABOUT ME

Nabila Hoda

Parent & Child Coach, Educator

I am an educator, coach, mentor, and a mother of four - and have created an award winning approach that blends academia, psychology and very real world experience to help your children thrive and learn to their fullest potential.

My mission is to empower you and your children to lead happier, more enriched lives through personalized coaching.

I am a Cambridge International certified educator, have taught all grade levels from preschool to High School, and have spent extensive time as a teacher trainer - coaching teachers to impactfully teach children of all ages and intelligences.

My personal journey has taken me through the US and across Asia, giving me a unique perspective on parenting and education across cultures. I have several years experience in coaching and teaching families from different parts of the world, and incorporate social and cultural elements into my personalized approach for your family.

I am also certified in Child Psychology, Mental Wellness of Children, The Positive Parenting Solutions Method and Neuro Linguistic Programming -- all of which have equipped me to create a holistic approach to coaching parents, children and teachers. I have also had the privilege of mentoring teenagers at our community center, which in addition to parenting my own four children (aged 14, 12, 8 and 2) has given me invaluable personal insight into addressing a variety of parenting needs.

MY APPROACH

Parenting Philosophy

The parent-child relationship is a beautiful thing and brings immense joy and fulfillment. However, children don’t exactly come with a manual!  We, as parents, have instincts and compassion which help us navigate through this, sometimes unknown, territory.  Each phase of parenting, starting with when you first discover that you are expecting, until your children enter adulthood, brings with it different needs, struggles, anxieties, epiphanies, joys and sorrows.  They say it takes a village, and I believe that having people around you to get through this wonderful journey is most beneficial to parent and child.  My approach to parenting is simple: build a strong connection with your child to ensure their mental well-being, emotional and intellectual growth and physical safety, all while maintaining boundaries and safeguarding your own mental wellness.  I use mindfulness and communication techniques to give parents the tools they need to raise happy, successful and resilient children.

Education Philosophy

I am a firm believer in Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. As he emphatically states, “It’s not how smart you are, but how you are smart.” Every child has the potential to thrive academically, emotionally and physically in their environment.  My approach to teaching includes methods which are effective in addressing a wide range of learning styles and abilities as well as imparting values such as empathy and honesty to children and nurturing their mental well-being.  A successful teacher is one who inspires a love of learning in their students and as a teacher trainer, I am excited to share my expertise and give parents and educators the tools they need to achieve this.
